What Happens at Book Club?
We have a team of amazing school teachers, professionals, and whānau who volunteer their time to come and read with our tamariki. This year the book club will focus solely on reading with the aim of creating reading habits for our tamariki. Time will be set aside at the end of each session where tamariki will do a book review on what they have read.
When is Book Club?
Every Wednesday from 4pm – 5pm (Excluding School Holidays)
Where is Book Club?
Book Club will now be held in Tamateapōkaiwhenua – our Wharenui – every week. If there is a booking or for any reason we are unable to run Book Club, you will be notified.
Please note, there is no food or drink to be consumed in or around the wharenui.
What do we bring?
You are welcome to bring books from home or school that you would like to read.
Who can attend?
Book Club is open to all Primary or Intermediate children.
Are there any changes from last year?
YES – Parents must agree to enroll their tamariki with the Whānau Ora service to access this service.
